Homeless Prevention - Family Promise of Lycoming County

At Family Promise, we are known for being a homeless ministry, but we are able to serve families who are on the verge of being homeless. We help people who have eviction notices, homes that have burnt down, and people who are struggling financially to pay rent.

In our Homeless Prevention program, we are able to provide:

Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University Training
Life skill Classes
Parenting, co-dependency training
Resume preparation
Case Management
Financial match program and much more.

We partner with many agencies to provide the most comprehensive services to our guests, including the Lycoming County United Way. With their support, we offer a financial match of each guests savings towards their first and last rent payments as well as their security deposit. This helps our guests secure housing more quickly and offers them the ability to have a fresh start with a stronger chance at success.
